September 1985 – August 1989

Attendance on a four year one day per month “Continual Course in Restorative Dentistry” under the direction of Mr Michael Wise, Wimpole Street, London.

This course exposed me to both patient and practice management in the private sector. All aspects of dentistry, particularly the interdisciplinary approach to Advanced Restorative Dentistry were studied. Additionally, invited guest speakers from around the world lectured in small participative groups, on their specialist subjects.

September 1983 – August 1984

Attendance one day per month on a Course in Restorative Dentistry under the personal direction of Professor E. Levinson (University of Pretoria, S.A.), in Cavendish Square, London.  The emphasis of this course was on the integration and combination of the disciplines of Periodontics, Endodontics, Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics (including Precision Attachments) and Orthodontics in relation to the treatment of the Severely Compromised Dentition. As well as learning the theory behind this advanced form of dentistry, several cases being treated by Professor Levinson were followed through to completion.
